Adjustable Mirror Holder

This mirror holder can be used for mirror prisms, standard mirrors, dichroics, and polarizing beam splitters. The lateral 45° angle allows the use of standard mirrors and dichroics without having to rotate the mirror holder 45° relative to the light source. One of the key advantages of this mirror holder, compared to 3-axis mirror mounts, is its dimensional stability. Unlike 3-axis mirror mounts, our holder cannot warp or deform. 3-axis mirror mounts operate on a push-pull principle, meaning the system is constantly under tension and can shift due to vibrations or thermal expansion. Our mirror holder does not suffer from this problem. Adjustment is accomplished simply by tilting the mirror holder and rotating the base body. Mirror installation is greatly simplified by the horizontal milling of the mirror holder, ensuring that the mirror and mirror holder are identically aligned. This reduces the necessary adjustment to a minimum. The mirror holder is manufactured from brass, making it exceptionally dimensionally stable and resistant to deformation under both thermal and mechanical influences.
